Our vision
Talent first. Résumé second.
To get the people with the most potential in front of the founders who need them, before a résumé decides for them.
01 / Our company
About Scout22.
Scout22 is a recruiting company for AI startups that just raised. Instead of leading with a résumé, students, new grads and early-career candidates send a short video pitch. I watch every one, and when a founder wants to meet someone, I make the intro.
Founders meet people they wouldn't have found on a job board. Candidates get seen for how they think, not just where they've been.
02 / Founder
Wendy Shi
Founder, Scout22
I spent five years at two venture-backed clinical AI startups, owning product and program work for the machine learning teams. I shipped medical imaging and video AI, built prescreening for clinical trials, and ran the clinical data pipeline end to end.
Along the way I helped scale those teams from 40 people to 150. The hires who mattered most rarely looked best on paper. What set them apart was how they thought and how fast they learned, and a résumé shows almost none of that.
So I started Scout22. Now I recruit for startups that just raised, and I find people the way I always wished I could: by hearing from them first.
Résumés reward the people who already had a head start. Scout22 was built to find everyone else.
03 / How I work
Five things I hold to.
Every pitch, watched
I watch every video that comes in myself. Nobody gets screened out by a keyword filter.
Potential over pedigree
No GPA cutoff, no years-of-experience box. Class projects, side projects and things you taught yourself all count.
Only intros I'd bet on
I only send founders the people I think they should meet, with my notes on why. Your video goes nowhere else.
Founders run their own process
I make the intro. From there, the company runs its own interviews and makes its own call.
Always 1:1
Candidates and founders work with me directly, from the first message to the intro.
Students and new grads
Pitch beyond your résumé.
Send one 60-second video. If a founder wants to meet you, I'll make the intro.
