Privacy Policy
The short version: We collect your name, email, and any optional profile information you choose to share (LinkedIn, TikTok, resume, or a short video). We use it only to run Scout22's waitlist and notify you at launch. We don't sell your data. Ever.
1. Who We Are
Scout22 ("Scout22," "we," "us," or "our") is a video-first recruiting platform currently in pre-launch. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit scout22.co or sign up for our waitlist.

2. Information We Collect
For candidates, we collect:
- Full name and email address (required)
- LinkedIn profile URL (optional)
- Professional TikTok handle (optional)
- Resume file โ PDF, DOC, or DOCX (optional)
- Short intro video up to 60 seconds (optional)
For hiring companies and founders, we collect:
- Contact name and work email address (required)
- Company name (required)
Automatically collected: When you visit our site, we may receive standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, and referring page. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics at this time.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To add you to our waitlist and send you launch updates
- To create your candidate or company profile when the platform launches
- To allow companies to discover candidate profiles (videos, resumes) on the Scout22 platform, with your consent
- To respond to your questions or support requests
- To improve our platform based on what information people choose to share
We will never use your information for purposes beyond those listed without asking you first.
4. How We Store Your Information
Waitlist form responses are stored via Google Forms and Google Sheets, which are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Uploaded files (resumes and videos) are stored in Supabase cloud storage. Both services use industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share your information only in these limited cases:
- With companies on the platform โ candidate profiles (including video and resume, if uploaded) are visible to verified hiring companies on Scout22. You can withdraw your profile at any time by contacting us.
- With service providers โ Google (form responses) and Supabase (file storage) process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- If required by law โ we may disclose information if required by a valid legal process.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent and opt out of the waitlist at any time
- Data portability โ receive a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Data Retention
We retain your waitlist information for as long as Scout22 is operating or until you request deletion. If Scout22 does not launch, we will delete all waitlist data within 12 months of that decision and notify you by email.
8. Children's Privacy
Scout22 is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
